was born in Rome June 6, 1906. Student of the Naval Academy in Livorno in 1923, in July 1928 he obtained his appointment as midshipman Trent and embarked on the crossing. Promoted to Lieutenant in 1929, took on board the destroyer Fabrizi and in 1933, the grade of Lieutenant, embarked on submarines Walrus and iridium, with the latter participated in operational missions during the Italo-Ethiopian conflict and the war in Spain. At the outbreak of World War II took command of the submarine Pisani and August 1940, promoted to Lieutenant Commander, took command of the submarine Scire, with which transported vehicles and operators in the missions of Gibraltar and Alexandria. Established May 15, 1940 X ^ MAS Flotilla Assault Vehicles, took command of the Department and divers, with promotion to captain Frigate, even that of the Flotilla. At the command SCIRI transported to Alexandria's divers in the night between 18 and 19 December 1941 violated the fournished British naval base in Alexandria and sank the two British battleships Valiant and Queen Elizabeth.
After September 8, 1943 joined the Italian Social Republic and commanded until the end of the conflict, the reconstituted ^ X MAS Flotilla. Placed on leave, died at Cadiz (Spain) on 08/26/1974.
