If Judas had not betrayed his master, if he had not reported to the Sanhedrin, Jesus could also become the Savior of mankind?
Having it done instead, what Judas was really a shameful act, or rather was part of a much more complex divine plan?
And if it had been, Judas is to be considered guilty or innocent?
on these questions and inspired by a wonderful book by Giuseppe Berto, "The Glory" (Mondadori, 1978) I recommend everyone to read, was written - together a co-author - a play titled "Trial of Judas."
Developed as a real process, with a judge, the prosecutor, and counsel for a number of witnesses in their favor, however, represented by historical figures, up or fantasy, belonging to different periods, the work attempts to provide answers to the questions above exposed.
The text is the winner of the fourth edition of the play called by writing Theatre Fara Nume of Lido di Ostia (Rome), for this reason:
"Text intriguing, timely and evocative at the same time, questioning characters and certainties and settled. Courageous topic, an original way of tackling it. The characters in "known" history, philosophy, the reality and fantasy turn, shape and become "just men" with their conceptual and emotional difficulties and dichotomies that reveal the fragility of the human being "
The awards ceremony on May 2, 2009 at the Teatro Fara Nume of Ostia (Roma)
As a bonus, the work became part of the bill Theatre Fara Nume (Via Domenico Baffigi, 161 - 00,121 - Ostia Lido - Rome - Telephone: 2006 5612207) for the 2009-2010 season and will be represented on 26, 27 and 28 March 2010 from "The Fellowship TFN" directed by Maestro Andrea Serafini.
A great satisfaction!
